The AstorMueller group and the international lifestyle brand DANIEL HECHTER PARIS have agreed on a long term cooperation starting 01 January 2013. Licensee is the DANIEL HECHTER SHOES AG, a new company founded for this purpose in the AstorMueller group. The license agreement includes women´s and men´s shoes as well as leather goods and is related to Europe, Middle East, North America, China and India. The brand DANIEL HECHTER combines french savoir vivre with sportive elegance. It is the ideal complement for the further development of the success story achieved with bugatti shoes in the last 10 years. The AstorMueller group will position DANIEL HECHTER SHOES in the upper price segment with highest quality standards. The first collection will be launched for the Fall/Winter Season 2013.


Despite the fact that the footwear sector suffered a difficult year the AstorMueller group successfully managed to increase the respective market shares. In an image survey from the TextilWirtschaft about mens´ shoes bugatti shoes was elected as the top brand with the best future prospects. Also in other fields bugatti shoes was counted among the best. Overall an outstanding assessment from the footwear industry and a clear confirmation of the AstorMueller group strategy. With double-digit revenue growth the AstorMueller group can look back at one of the most successful years in its corporate history. Development of the shop-in shop-systems with own partners. The wholly- owned factory in Tunisia is sold; from now on the AstorMueller group focuses itself on development and distribution throughout Europe.del.


The AstorMueller group is already employing 450 people; production takes place in three European locations as well as in Vietnam and India to German quality standards.


With the turn of the millennium the license for bugatti shoes is acquired; for this the company bugatti shoes gmbh is consequently formed.


Formation of AstorMueller AG; move to Switzerland – Tim Torsten Müller thus masters the balancing act between the need to be close to the Italian development centre without being too far removed from the core market Germany.


A new faster collection rhythm starts. Together with his Italian development team Tim Torsten Müller presents from this time on from six to eight collections on the market every year and reacts therefore – long before his competitors – to the clearly formulated needs of the trade.

Move to offices belonging to the company in the industrial zone of the shoe metropolis of Pirmasens (Rhineland-Palatinate).


Change of the agency into the distribution organisation "AM Company" as well as setting up their own Development Centre in Italy.


Tim Torsten Müller began his professional career as a business trainee in the family enterprise.


Faithful to the family tradition, his son, Hans Müller, walked in the professional footsteps of his father. Thus, between 1950 and 1975, he was working – very successfully – as a full buyer for the companies Karstadt, Leiser and GEB. Using the background of this experience Hans Müller and his wife Britta in 1975 founded their own shoe agency. In the main, Italian as well as Portuguese collections were developed and represented.


The grandfather of today's owner, Johann Müller, founded the „Manufacture Johann Müller for handcrafted shoes“ in Schwelm (Westphalia). “Müller ?s” shoes soon became the epitome of high grade footwear, produced with traditional, old craftsmanship.
